The steps for adding them manually are as follows:

  • Go to the ” Settings” option.
  • Choose the option ” Accounts and Passwords” , you will choose ” Add account” .
  • In the option where you see different providers, you will choose ” Others”.

  • Then click on the option ” Add account”.
  • You will enter your name, email address, password and a short description of the functionality of this. Example : business, personal, work, friends, etc.

  • Press ” Next”.
  • Mail will try to add the configuration automatically, finishing it, if it succeeds in getting the right one, you will be given the option of ” OK” to finish.
  • If Mail can’t find the right configuration, you’ll have to add it manually. Press ” Next”.
  • Select POP or IMAP for the new account you want to add, if you are not sure which type to choose, contact your email provider.
  • Enter the incoming mail server, as well as the outgoing server and the password for both fields. Press ” Next”.
