Bookmarks or also known as favorites are a very important tool for most users. Their main function is to make it easier for them to access certain websites that are frequently visited and that have been previously marked to remember them .
It is important to note that most web browsers have these tools. This is ideal for when we find a web page of interest and don’t want to lose it or when we constantly access the same page.
However, these markers are usually saved separately in each browser, which means that if we go from using Mozilla to Chrome we won’t be able to have any of them. But, there is a way to be able to import all these sites and have them in the different web browsers and which we’re going to show you below.

- There, a menu will appear with different options where we select “Bookmarks”.
- In the new window that appears on the screen we select “Show all markers”.
- Now the window of “Catalog” will open, there we have to click on the menu of “Import and Backup”.
- In the new menu that appears we must select the option to export the Mozilla Firefox markers.
- To do this click on “Export Bookmarks”, here you will be taken to the “Windows File Explorer” window and select the name and path where you want to save the document.
- Once this has been done, the next step will be to import the favorites into the other browser . To do this we have to perform the same steps, but this time we select the “Import Bookmarks” option in the Catalog window. Note that in the case of Google Chrome you will be asked to indicate which browser these bookmarks come from.
- There, the “Windows File Explorer” will open again where you select the previously saved file.
Do Firefox bookmarks save and sync with my Google Account?
If you have a Google account and you want to synchronize it with your Mozilla Firefox browser so that you can pass all your bookmarks in an easy and simple way, you can do this as long as you have previously configured your Google account . This means that you have synchronised your Google account so that it stores all this data.
Therefore, if you use the Google Chrome browser and you want to synchronize it with your Google account you can do it very easily.
To do this, perform the following steps:
- Enter Chrome and select the three dots on the top right.
- In the menu that appears on the screen, select the “Configuration” section.
- Now select the option from “Google service and synchronization”.
- There you will see a new window where you have to select which services you want to synchronize with your account, once you have selected the boxes click on “Activate synchronization”.
Once has synchronized your account with your browser , the next thing to do is to log back into Mozilla and sign in with your Google account . There you must activate the synchronization of your account with your browser so that automatically adds not only bookmarks, but also cookies, history or any other items you have previously selected.
